Smoothies are a great way to get a variety of fruits and vegetables in your diet. Especially for those who are not big vegetable or fruit lovers, like kids. One of the reasons I got into the food industry is because I wanted to educate children on the techniques of cooking and learn to love all different kinds of foods. That is how I was raised. I was always in the kitchen helping either peel carrots, stirring a sauce, or when I got a little older making smoothies after school. Studies have shown that if children learn to make recipes and different dishes they are more likely to try and enjoy it.
This recipe is a great way for kids to get their vegetable intake up and learn to love them!
