Today marks the start of fall and this makes me so HAPPY! Fall is my favorite season. I am cooking and baking up a storm with all the amazing autumn produce and such. I love the warming flavors, the change in temperature (in all other parts of the US except Miami :) ), the sun setting earlier, the need for comforting meals, and the beginning of holiday season. This is a chef/foodie/blogger dreams when fall approaches.
Here is a collection of a few of my favorite fall recipes from years past. I am not going to lie but I am a little behind in creating some recipes so as I create the autumn inspired decadent recipes these are some delicious ones to start off the new season. Eating and cooking seasonally is something that thankfully is coming back to the forefront of the way we purchase, cook, and eat food. Which is awesome! One thing I always notice when I travel abroad is how prevalent that theme of eating seasonally is. The seasons dictate the food grown, which determines the recipes and what is on the table to eat. Living in South Florida we have very little variety throughout the year and summer is really the time for our tropical fruits and vegetables. They are delicious, don't get me wrong, but since autumn is my absolute favorite holiday I do wish that we had more local variety of fall produce.
